FAQ
Fishing
Luckily, here in SE Florida, the gulf-stream runs very close to shore, so its only a 10-20 minute ride to fishing grounds and in most cases, you’re fishing within 20 minutes of leaving the dock.
Want to eat the fish you catch? If you catch edible fish that you’d like to take to eat, we will carefully fillet, clean and de-bone your catch and seal it in Zip-lock bags and ice so you can take it home or bring it to the marina’s restaurant and have them cook your catch. (NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE)
We are partnered with a taxidermy service that can create an exact fiberglass mounted replica of your catch without killing or keeping the fish. We simply, measure the fish, and send the dimensions and photo to the taxidermist. They’ll create an exact replica and the airbrush artists will paint the trophy to look like your catch! Your fish will arrive 20-30 days from the time of your trip. Prices vary based on size of fish. Ask your Captain if you would like information.
We provide everything needed for fishing- licenses, tackle, rods and all the gear needed. Our coolers will be stocked with ice. All you need to bring are food, drinks and sun protection. We recommend a waterproof jacket or poncho even if rain is not in the forecast.
Equipment
Our core fleet Vessels are fully sponsored and will have all the latest and greatest reels from quality manufactures, mounted on 20# custom rods built exclusively for our fishery and needs. Nothing will ever be old, rusted/corroded or abused!
Kite Fishing – if you haven’t kite fished yet, you need to try it, it’s the deadliest technique ever created. We will fly 1 or 2 kites ahead of the boat, each kite has 3 spacers on it and 3 rods will deploy 3 live baits from each kite right at the surface. It’s a deadly way to fish in front of the drift and the surface baits create an epic scene where fish will smash and crash the bait, chasing it around and putting on an awesome show. We catch multiple fish with this technique, sometimes as many has 10 at once. Kite fishing is our specialty… and passion.
Trolling with Artificial / Dead Bait – An industry standard where several lines are pulled behind the boat with a combination of lures and dead or “strip-cut” bait at about 5-8 MPH.
Trolling with Live bait – Deadly method to catch a large variety of game fish where a spread of live baits are slowly trolled around behind the boat at different depths.
Drift Fishing (Reef, Wreck fishing) – The boat is turned off and we will drift over reefs, wrecks and ledges, dropping and free lining live and dead bait or vertical jigs to trigger bites. We can also use live Shrimp or live Mullet, Pin-fish, and Pilchards for inshore live bait fishing around the inlet mouths, spillways and beaches.
